Guangzhou Photography Club
There are many photo groups in China and in Guangzhou, however, most are for Chinese
speaking people. We created a new photography club for English speaking foreigners living in
the Guangzhou area. The group page is: Guangzhou Photo Club
Membership: There will NOT be an online member sign-up feature. This club is for
experienced photographers who own DSLR cameras owners only and we will interview them
before we allow them to become members.
Events: We have events at least once each month for the active members to get together and
have fun taking photos. All events are planned in the Guangzhou area near public
transportation. The more popular events seem to be taking photos of models in city hot spots
and street photos.
Forums: The website also allows the photo club members to participate in discussions and
forums about any topic related to photography. Forum content and comments will be monitored.
Fee: Each member will need to pay a fee of 200 RMB per year to help us pay the website
operating expenses. Some events may also have fees to cover expenses.

Photography Training Classes
The scheduling of the classes will be on the GZ Photography Club page. We plan to offer
each class twice each year. Each class cost 600 RMB for each student. Currently, there is
not a regular schedule, the classes are offered only after enough students sign up for them.
Private one-on-one classes are also available, but you will need to pay a higher fee. The
length of each class is about 3-4 hours and there will be hands-on exercising after each
section. The students can ask class related questions afterward.
New DSLR Camera Owner
This class will teach new owners how to understand the technical side of using the camera.
We will focus more on manual settings and when to use them.
Advanced Techniques
This class is for people who know some about photography, but want to improve and need
ideas how to take more artistic photos.
Studio Concepts
This class is for studio lighting and the best settings to use on your camera when taking
studio photos.
Photoshop Techniques
This is for students who already know how to use Photoshop, but need ideas how to make
photos look extra special.
Note: All classes are hands-on giving each student a chance to practice new knowledge

E-Magazine
The members of the photo club will produce an E-Magazine every
three months. The magazine will feature multiple how-to guides,
photography related advertising, product reviews, and local
photographers showcasing their work. The magazine will be
available both online and as PDF downloads.
